Movie Review - Dream House

I watched a movie called Dream House a year ago. Dream House is a psychological thriller film directed by Jim Sheridan, starring Daniel Craig, Rachel Weisz, Naomi Watts, and Marton Csokas. This movie was nominated for the Guild of Music Supervisor Award in 2012. The trailer of this movie was nominated for the Golden Trailer Award. The movie came to Japan in 2012.

Will Atenton (Daniel Craig) tries to build a peaceful life with his beloved wife Libby (Rachel Weisz) and their young daughters Trish and Dee-Dee, in a home purchased in the suburbs. However, there are many strange events, such as being frightened when Dee-Dee saw something that looked like a ghost, and a mysterious man looking into his house. Neighbor resident Anne Patterson (Naomi Watts) did not get along with them, and Will begins an investigation. Then he finds that there was a case where a family was killed in his house five years ago. The criminal has not been caught, and the family’s father, Peter Ward, suspected of being the criminal, is in a mental hospital. Will tries to contact Peter to protect his family, but what he has been waiting for is the shocking truth.

I found this movie on Tsutaya last year. Daniel Craig is famous for the 007 series, so this one looked interesting too, so I decided to watch. It was thrilling and exciting that he gradually fell into fear. The genre is a psycho thriller, but pure love was also shown. When I saw it for the first time, I could not really understand it halfway, but when I knew the truth, I realized that were many hints. I watched the movie again to write this review, it was interesting because I knew the contents. I want you to watch this movie twice. You can also watch this movie on Netflix, so if you are interested, please watch it!
